Il Gladiolo ‘Oscar’ è una varietà ornamentale dal portamento alto ed elegante, caratterizzata da grandi fiori di colore rosso intenso riuniti lungo robusti steli eretti. Raggiunge circa 100 cm di altezza e offre un deciso sviluppo verticale, ideale per aiuole, bordure e gruppi fioriti.
‘Oscar’ predilige posizioni soleggiate o a mezz’ombra ed è adatto anche alla coltivazione in vaso. I bulbi si mettono a dimora da marzo a luglio, a circa 10 cm di profondità e mantenendo una distanza di 15 cm tra le piante.
La fioritura avviene da luglio a ottobre e dura circa 6 settimane. Gli steli fiorali possono essere recisi, rendendo questa varietà adatta anche alla realizzazione di composizioni floreali dal colore rosso intenso.
