ORIGINE: È una pianta perenne appartenente alla famiglia delle labiate, a portamento cespuglioso con fusti eretti, numerosi ed esili. Le foglie sono di colore verde intenso, mentre i fiori sono di colore blu-viola, raccolti in spighe.
UTILIZZO: Si utilizzano le foglie fresche ed i giovani germogli per insaporire pietanze. Le sommità fiorite, essiccate in fasci all’aria aperta, si utilizzano per infusi.
AVVERTENZE: Non eccedere nelle dosi e non somministrare a chi soffre di disturbi nervosi.
PROPRIETÁ: Ha proprietà decongestionanti, balsamiche e digestive.

HYSSOP
Perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the Labiaceae family. Hyssop is a brightly colored shrub or subshrub. Its stem is woody at the base, from which grow a number of straight branches. Its leaves are lance shaped and dark green in colour. The plant produces bunches of pink, blue, or, more rarely white fragrant flowers.

ORIGIN: HERB HYSSOP (HYSSOPUS OFFICINALIS) IS A PERENNIAL HERBACEOUS PLANT BELONGING TO THE LAMIACEAE FAMILY.HYSSOP IS A BRIGHTLY COLORED SHRUB OR SUBSHRUB. ITS STEM IS WOODY AT THE BASE, FROM WHICH GROW A NUMBER OF STRAIGHT BRANCHES. ITS LEAVES ARE LANCE SHAPED AND DARK GREEN IN COLOUR. THE PLANT PRODUCES BUNCHES OF PINK, BLUE, OR, MORE RARELY WHITE FRAGRANT FLOWERS.USE: FRESH HYSSOP LEAVES AND SHOOTS ARE USED AS AN AROMATIC CONDIMENT WHILE THE AIR-DRIED FLOWERS ARE USED TO MAKE HERBAL TEAS.CAUTION : USE IN MODERATION. SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN BY THOSE OF A NERVOUS DISPOSITION.PROPERTIES: AS A MEDICINAL HERB, HYSSOP HAS DIGESTIVE, SOOTHING, EXPECTORANT, AND COUGH SUPPRESSANT PROPERTIES.
