DENTE DI LEONE
Pianta rustica e perenne, semplice da coltivare, presenza immancabile nell’orto. Si sviluppa al meglio direttamente in pieno campo, dove le radici possono espandersi. Le foglie giovani, tenere e dal sapore delicato, sono ottime fresche in insalata, mentre quelle più mature risultano più intense e leggermente amare. I boccioli si possono preparare sott’olio e sono sorprendentemente simili ai capperi. I fiori schiusi impreziosiscono piatti e insalate con un tocco vivace e originale.
DANDELION
Hardy perennial plant, easy to grow and an essential presence in the vegetable garden. It grows best directly in open ground, where its roots can spread freely. The young leaves, tender and delicately flavoured, are excellent fresh in salads, while the more mature ones develop a stronger, slightly bitter taste. The buds can be preserved in oil and are surprisingly similar to capers. The open flowers brighten dishes and salads with a lively and original touch.
