SALVIA OFFICINALE
Pianta sempreverde e arbustiva, amante del caldo e delle posizioni soleggiate. Si adatta con facilità ad ogni terreno ma mal tollera i ristagni d’acqua, fedele alle sue origini mediterranee. Si coltiva con successo sia in vaso che in pieno campo, avendo cura di proteggere le radici con una leggera pacciamatura durante i mesi più rigidi. In cucina è da sempre apprezzata per aromatizzare numerose pietanze e può essere gustata anche fritta, come sfizioso stuzzichino.
SAGE OFFICINALIS
Evergreen, shrubby plant, fond of warmth and sunny positions. It adapts easily to all types of soil but does not tolerate waterlogging, remaining true to its Mediterranean origins. It grows successfully both in pots and in open ground, provided the roots are protected with light mulching during the colder months. In the kitchen, it has long been appreciated for flavouring a wide variety of dishes and can also be enjoyed fried as a tasty snack.
